So first of I want to start of by mentioning this is a throwback post, but as Italy has been one of my favourite places to visit I wanted to share that with you all. A couple of years ago I travelled to Italy, visiting Venice, Florence and Rome and it was such an amazing trip. When people think of Italy, you automatically think of Venice because of its canals, culture and food and let me say the experience is just as amazing (anyone who knows me knows I love a good pizza).
It was truly inspiring being able to visit one of the most magical places and is definitely one I would do again as there is so much to see and do there. Venice is home to such amazing sites such as the Grand Canal, Doge’s Palace and Piazza San Marco, as well as many more, which means you are constantly taking pictures. The perfect destination for a relaxing or romantic city break.
Built on lots of small islands, the city is composed of just canals and boats, which means there is no traffic or congestion – perfect to escape the hustle and bustle. Navigating through the city can be tough with all the little alleys, but this just makes the experience so much more authentic and enjoyable – as long as you have a map to hand (or a tour guide). Hope you enjoy the pictures and they do the city justice. Maybe one day I can return back to Venice (and next time I’ll go for a ride on a gondola).
This has really made me want to go to Venice…its now on my list of places to go !
