Men’s Spring/Summer 2016 Accessories

Spring 2016 collections saw a return to boyish accessories, including baseball caps and boy scout neckerchiefs. I am a big fan of this new trend, due to the look versatility and the wide range of different styles available. I have taken to my YouTube channel (below) to break down the accessories trends and looking at why you should consider these items in your Spring/Summer 2016 wardrobe.

1. Baseball Caps

I am a big ambassador of all hats, as they add variety and finesse to any look you put together, and over the past couple of months I have been wearing baseball caps more and more. Caps create a very relaxed and laid-back casual spring/summer looks, as well as the benefit of keeping the sun out of your eyes. On the SS16 catwalks, references can be seen to nineties street style with darker colours in the Calvin Klein Collection, as well as white t-shirts with muted tan caps featured in Versace and Balmain. Switch things up with different shapes and tones. This also helps to tame a bad hair day, when you just can’t be bothered to sort our your mane.

2. Bandanas

In the SS16 catwalks, bandana neckerchiefs were the accessory highlights in the Louis Vuitton, Margaret Howell and Hermes collections. You can incorporate this trend with a loose fitting bandana, either as a neckerchief or a headband, maintaining versatility by making its addition to your look more youthful and varied for casual wear. I will be uploading a video on different ways to wear a bandana, so make sure you subscribe to keep up to date on this.
